She then added: “Honestly, I wouldn’t be where I am today without everyone who has supported me, it’s basically our whole house.

Last August, Shaughna revealed to MailOnline that his family had been nearly left homeless as his late father Eddie died of cancer.

The Love Island star opened up about the difficulties she faced when her father, Eddie, died almost six years ago, and praised Macmillan Cancer Support, after the charity came to the help from his family.

Shaugna explained: “My dad was diagnosed with cancer in September 2015. He was a black cab driver in London. They are independent and work for themselves – most people don’t realize this.

“So when he couldn’t work anymore, he didn’t get paid. There is no sick leave when you are self-employed.

“When people get cancer, all you think about is ‘God, I hope they get out of it’. You don’t think about the impact on the whole family. We couldn’t pay the rent. Macmillan came to the rescue.

“My mother, as a lawyer, contributed as much as she could, but it was a bit shameful for my father not to be able to support the family financially. This had an impact on his mental state.

The Love Island star praised the charity for their financial support and explained how three months after his father’s diagnosis they had helped find them new accommodation.

She said, “MacMillan gave us those 2 grants, and that relief completely changed his mood. I am always so indebted to them. That’s the only reason we weren’t homeless.

“We tried to get help from the government, but it didn’t work. Macmillan also contacted our local MP on our behalf and managed to find us a home.

“We found out on Christmas Eve that we could move into a house that allowed pets, so we could bring our dog. I can’t explain how much we owe Macmillan.
